Developer Preview limits
A concise public boundary for the first AxolDB evaluation release.
AxolDB 0.1.0-developer-preview is experimental software for evaluation, development, testing and
research. It is not licensed for Production Use.
Platform and deployment
- The planned downloads are Windows x64 ZIP and Linux x64 tar.gz. There is no installer, macOS package, system service integration, clustering or high-availability configuration.
- Recorded native Windows evidence is Windows 11 build 26200 in a normal interactive, non-elevated context. Windows Server automation has a separate scope. Linux CLI/Server lifecycle evidence covers Fedora 44, Ubuntu 26.04.1 and Debian 13.7, not all Linux systems or the Linux desktop shell. ARM and unlisted platform versions remain unqualified.
- The managed Server is owner-local and loopback-only in the qualified Preview profile.
- Browser Studio is same-origin. Arbitrary-origin browser deployment and a hosted SaaS product are not included.
Product behavior
- Remote Evolution execution/control is deferred. Bounded local evolution is a separate workflow.
- Studio uses known IDs; it does not provide a complete Population, principal, role or grant directory.
- Operations are explicit: no automatic semantic retry, hidden paging or ambiguous mutation replay.
- Native cancellation during first initialization can leave stale public state recoverable through public stop. The 30-second post-click target and lower cause are not proved.
- Future-version migration, restore compatibility, support, service levels and production suitability are not promised.
The complete release documentation will retain the authoritative detailed limitations list. This short page is a representative public preview, not a replacement for the adopted license.
Examples and agent Skills
The five integration examples are MIT-licensed source in the separate public feedback repository. Their retained product pins and external dependencies remain explicit; an example unit test does not qualify a new product archive.
Architect 0.1.1 and Operator 0.1.5 are included as separate MIT-licensed download packages in the same planned release. Upload remains pending final approval; no registry publication is part of this task. The accepted instruction/reference files are unchanged. Operator acceptance is 16/16 PASS; Architect retains its A04 exception (strict 11 PASS / 1 FAIL). Packaging/license additions do not establish new consumer, model or product-build compatibility. See installation and planned assets. AxolDB product licensing remains unchanged.
